18 Planner's Guide 2009/10 Majestic Vertical Garden Hotel The Majestic Group has gained approval by the Adelaide City Council for a new hotel on Hindley Street, Adelaide. The new 20 storey, 280 room property is expected to cost around $50 million dollars and will be known as the Majestic Vertical Garden Hotel. Developers believe that the hotel will bring around $200 million investment to the city. The property's signature vertical wall garden in the restaurant and function area will overlook the street from the first level and the building's terraces will allow for extensive garden areas. The current redevelopment of the western grandstand worth approximately $90 million of state and federal grants has been an important next step.
